Overview
The openUC2 Electronics Add-On is a modular and open-source toolkit designed to introduce you to the automation of traditional microscopes. With cutting-edge components like an ESP32 microcontroller, stepper motor drivers, and an advanced LED array, this kit provides everything you need to start exploring automated imaging workflows.
Experiment, innovate, and build workflows tailored to your research needs.
- ESP32 Microcontroller: Runs the UC2-eSP firmware for seamless integration with Python, JavaScript, and other programming interfaces.
- Precision Automation: Achieve sub-micron accuracy with the Z-stage, enabling advanced tasks like autofocus by capturing contrast curves.
- Remote Control: Use the PS4 controller for intuitive, wireless operation of the microscope.
- LED Array: Test and experiment with digital contrast techniques, such as differential phase contrast (DPC).
- Software Integration: Quickly integrate the electronics into the Python-based ImSwitch software for advanced control and imaging.
Digital Control
Operate your microscope using a physical controller or a browser-based WebSerial interface, allowing seamless control and live feedback directly from your device. The firmware for the esp32c3 can be found here https://youseetoo.github.io/
